Dr. Ghazal Hashemi
Dr. Ghazal Hashemi

Languages Spoken: English, German, Farsi

Dr. Hashemi earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Germany. With more than twenty years' experience, Dr. Hashemi brings invaluable skills and expertise to Lakeshore Dental Center.

She loves to work with children and is highly attuned and empathetic to their own unique needs. Dr. Hashemi is happily married with two children.


Dr. Farshid Alikhani

Dr. Farshid Alikhani is an experienced dental implant and cosmetic restorative dentist. He received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in India and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in Iran. After moving to Toronto, he was certified by The National Dental Examining Board of Canada and has achieved advanced training in Cosmetic, Implant, Surgery and Restorative dental treatments. For the past two decades, his passion has been to bring confidence and comfort to the patient, and empower them about their oral health.

Dr. Alikhani's personal hobbies are flying model airplanes and making fine static models. Whenever he finds a mountain, he either goes skiing or paragliding!


Dr. Fernanda Barona

Dr. Fernanda Barona, a certified specialist in Periodontics, received her general dentistry degree in Ecuador in 2012 and her Masters in Craniofacial Science and post-graduate specialty training in Periodontics at the University of British Columbia in 2017. Dr. Barona is a Fellow-elect of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology.

In her free time, Dr. Barona enjoys spending time outdoors, skiing with her husband, Jason. Après ski, she is a foodie and coffee enthusiast.


George Grivogianis

George is a licensed denturist who has been practising for over 30 years. He is also a senior clinical instructor for the Canadian Academy of Denturists, as well as a member in good standing of the Denturist Association of Ontario.

George specializes in denture services including repairs and tooth additions for both complete and partial dentures, both implant-retained or removable.


Bita Tahriri
Bita Tahriri

Bita is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from Broome Community College, New York, in 2000 with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. With her prior experience as a dental assistant, Bita's dental knowledge is extensive. She is highly motivated to provide exceptional patient experiences, and through ongoing continuing education, Bita is continuously updating her dental skillset.

She is an active member of both the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO) and the Canadian Dental Hygienists' Association (CDHA). Bita's dental philosophy is to empower her patients through education in order that they understand and can take care of their own oral health with knowledge.


Helen Kirou
Helen Kirou

Helen is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She graduated from the Level ll Assisting Program at George Brown College in 1997 and then spent 10 years as a dental assistant to a general dental practitioner and to a paediatrician in the public health sector. She then completed her Expanded Duties of Dental Hygiene program at John Abbott College in Montreal, Quebec.

Since 2006, Helen has been an active member of the Halton Peel Dental Hygienist Society, the Canadian Dental Hygienists' Association, as well as the Ontario Dental Hygienists’ Association. Helen has devoted herself to community involvement and is especially committed to improving the quality of life for both seniors and people with disabilities


Andrea Young-Baker

Andrea was born in the sunny Caribbean but grew up in the Greater Toronto Area and Peel Region. She earned her diploma in dental assisting at George Brown College and Seneca College. She has over 20 years' experience in dentistry, working as a fulltime dental administrator and then as a Certified Dental Assistant at Lakeshore Dental Center. Andrea loves to meet new people and her natural curiosity for knowledge continuously enriches and diversifies her life and those around her.


Kameice Browne
Kameice Browne

Kameice Browne, a certified Dental Assistant, was born and raised in Jamaica. Moving to Canada in 2007, Kameice attended the National Academy for Health and Business in 2012 where she studied to become a Dental Assistant. She has a passion for dentistry and loves helping others improve their dental health. In Kameice’s leisure time, she enjoys spending time with her family and loves to cook. Kameice is always careful to keep her mouth in top condition to savour her many delicious dishes.

Lalaine emigrated from Manila, The Philippines, to Canada in 2002. Lalaine is a Certified Level ll Intra-oral Dental Assistant with more than a decade of dental experience.She is happily married and has a child.
